Why is prayer so important?
In my own life I have seen countless times where prayer has changed me. I have seen where prayer has changed others. Others I have never met and others that I know very well and love. We pray because we are lonely, scared, in pain, to intercede for those who don't know Christ. There are many reasons and yet, so many times we choose not to pray.

We pray because we are lonely, scared, in pain, to intercede for those who don't know Christ. There are many reasons and yet, so many times we choose not to pray. In reading the book "Prayer" by Philip Yancey, I am reminded of Susannah Wesley, a busy mother who had no time and no privacy. She would sit in her rocking chair with an apron over her head (her form of privacy) to pray for her husband and children. Why not take a few moments out of your day, throw an apron over your head and talk to God. Are we really that busy that we don't have time for the one who created us and who loves us more than anyone else on this earth does or can? He truly wants you to come into His presence.
